For the past five years a training and rehabilitation support project has been developing in SE Asia under the name of Christian Response to Addictions in Cambodia (CRAC).
With the sad demise of its umbrella Hosea Ministries the CRAC team under Dara believed that they could register as a local NGO recognised by the Royal Cambodian Government. In December 2009 ‘Freedom Cambodia’ (FC) was born with very little resources but great faith in God.

Young solvent abusers, Phnom Penh.
Training has already been provided for nearly 300 workers and volunteers who work combating people trafficking, with street children and the victims of physical and sexual abuse.
These young people turn to glue and drugs (usually meth amphetamine) to cover up the deep pain and shame that they feel.
This training has also been taken into Laos and FC are developing not only the CRAC training but also a Christian Leaders Addiction Network (CLAN) to help support churches and a new Walk In centre for drug and solvent using street kids. FC is linking with other organisations in Asia through ISAAC (International Substance Abuse and Addiction Coalition) a world wide Christian network.
